 FLOOD PHASE DESCRIPTION
Emergency General Public
 
o       Phase One: Monitor Weather
       Monitor Media
                                           Begin pre-event preparations (move personal belongings to
                                           safe areas, stock food and water [72 hour supply], stock   
                                           medical supplies as required, notify first responders of special
                                           needs [include pets], install floor drain plugs/standpipes,
                                           battery operated radio, flashlight, extra batteries, etc.
 
o       Phase Two: Evacuate as instructed
                                            Turn off gas and electric supply
                                            Leave white flag at top of front door
                                            DO NOT DRIVE THROUGH WATER
 
o       Phase Three: Monitor Media for additional information
 
o       Phase Four: Monitor Media for returning notification
 DO NOT RETURN TO RESIDENCE UNTIL OFFICIAL  
 NOTIFICATION HAS BEEN GIVEN
                          Upon returning, notify emergency personnel of any type of
                          hazard (gas leak, etc.)
     
o       Phase Five: Return to normal routine
