Many members and officers completed a twelve hour certification and practical methods course on the proper set up of traffic control devices and protocols for emergency scenes.  The course which was conducted on Monday evening and then throughout the day on Sunday provided invaluable insight and information on this very important aspect of emergency response.  The State Instructor who conducted the course, Joe Adams, who has experienced the very unfortunate incident of losing a firefighter during an emergency scene traffic control incident gave everyone a solid understanding of what it means to be "out there" trying to manage the motoring public around a scene.  The course material and hands on experience will provide our department with the best tools to manage this aspect of response.
